My Mission to Support Your Transformation

My name is Rebecca Andrews and I founded AWE Counseling and Consulting Services, LLC, with a passion for helping individuals and organizations thrive in the face of life's complexities. With over 20 years of experience in the field, my mission is to provide you with the resources and guidance needed to foster growth, resilience, and wellness. Working with me means experiencing real, lasting change. My services are designed to help you develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and clarity, which will ultimately empower you to live a more fulfilling life. For organizations, my customized wellness programs help reduce stress, improve team dynamics, and increase productivity. Through a holistic, tailored approach, you’ll gain the confidence and tools necessary to navigate life’s challenges with strength, balance, and clarity.

Honoring Complex Truths

AWE stands for Andrews Wellness Eight and also reflects how awe can hold both awesomeness and awfulness at once. I recognize that life rarely feels simple, and that two opposing experiences can both be real. My role is to create space for that complexity while helping you move toward balanced, values-guided fulfillment.

Specialized Trauma-Focused Training

I'm a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and I hold certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I am actively advancing my training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through ongoing advanced coursework, consultation, and supervised practice. My doctoral research centered on trauma, and since then I have continued to study how trauma affects the brain, body, and relationships. I integrate these trauma-informed insights into practical, skills-based care designed to promote safety, stability, and meaningful, sustainable change.

Community and Education

Beyond my clinical work, I stay deeply engaged with both community and education. I serve on the Suicide Task Force of Indiana County, collaborating on prevention, outreach, and postvention efforts. I also teach as an adjunct instructor, helping prepare counselors-in-training to work ethically, compassionately, and from a trauma-informed lens. These roles keep my perspective grounded in real-world needs and evolving best practices.

Grounded in Clinical Excellence

Since 2004, I have worked in mental and behavioral health, supporting adults and young adults from Indiana, Pennsylvania, and across the state. Through AWE Counseling and Consulting Services, LLC, I bring together my experience as a licensed professional counselor, licensed behavior specialist, and PhD in counselor education and supervision to offer careful, evidence-based care that respects your story and is tailored to your specific goals and needs.

Clinical Background

I have worked in mental and behavioral health since 2004, beginning in community and agency settings before establishing AWE Counseling and Consulting Services, LLC, in Indiana, Pennsylvania. I am a licensed professional counselor and licensed behavior specialist with a PhD in counselor education and supervision, practicing as a master’s-level clinician since 2010 and as a doctorate-level clinician since 2020. My experience includes anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, grief, chronic conditions, and complex life transitions, using evidence-based, person-centered approaches grounded in thorough assessment and collaborative care.

Trauma Expertise

My clinical focus centers on trauma and its impact across the eight dimensions of wellness. I completed my dissertation research on trauma and pursued advanced training, including certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional and in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and I am actively completing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. My approach integrates person-centered therapy, CBT, motivational interviewing, narrative, and experiential methods within an ethical, trauma-informed framework that emphasizes safety, structure, and respect for individual pacing. This work supports healing that is both grounded and sustainable.

Community Leadership

My commitment to mental health extends beyond individual counseling through education, training, and community engagement. I serve as a member of the Suicide Task Force of Indiana County and as an adjunct instructor educating counselors-in-training, bringing research and real-world experience into prevention and learning spaces. Through consulting and educational offerings, I collaborate with organizations to strengthen wellness initiatives guided by the Andrews Wellness Eight framework, supporting informed, balanced, and sustainable growth across personal and professional settings. This leadership reflects a commitment to meaningful, community-centered impact.
